And the time you must never see carries the same three digits as the vote that brought the coins home. 1:13 — 131.

One second is the whole distance between a run that counts and one that does not. The chain is no kinder. A bundle needs 131 votes inside 263 blocks, and on the first leg fourteen blocks of margin was everything that stood between the coins coming home and the bundle being deleted. Neither number is generous. Both are simply the line — and you are on one side of it or the other.

One more, and it was spotted rather than arranged: read 131 as l3l and LayerTree Labs is sitting in the vote count. Three digits, three readings — 1:12 to make, 1:13 to miss, l3l to laugh — and only one of them was on purpose.
